Our story

WHO WE ARE

Brilliance in Diamonds is a husband-and-wife-owned custom jewelry boutique in Metairie, Louisiana, serving New Orleans and clients across the world. We specialize in custom engagement rings, distinctive wedding bands, and fine jewelry made to feel personal from the very beginning. Because we believe the best pieces are not simply chosen from a case, they are created around your personal style, your story and the person who will wear them.

How It Started

Brilliance in Diamonds began in 2012 when Kevin set out to create a more personal way to shop for jewelry. After working on both the wholesale and retail sides of the industry, he wanted to combine expert guidance and great value with an experience that felt relaxed and intimate.

His wife, Liz, joined him in 2016, and together they grew Brilliance in Diamonds into the husband-and-wife-owned custom jewelry showroom it is today.

KEVIN - FOUNDER AND OWNER

Kevin knew he wanted the experience to feel different from a traditional jewelry store. No standing beneath bright lights, pointing through a glass case, or feeling pressured into making a decision. Instead, he created a more intimate and consultative approach: one where clients could sit down, ask questions, compare options, and feel genuinely comfortable throughout the process.

As a Graduate Diamonds professional through the Gemological Institute of America in New York City, Kevin has spent years helping clients create custom engagement rings and wedding bands without making the process feel overwhelming. He keeps things honest, easy to understand, and usually adds a dad joke or two along the way.

Kevin loves getting to know each client and helping turn their ideas into something meaningful. His knowledge, attention to detail, and laid-back approach are still at the heart of Brilliance in Diamonds today.

LIZ - OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR

In 2016, Liz made the decision to leave her career as a Forensic Interviewer at New Orleans Children's Hospital and join Kevin in growing Brilliance in Diamonds.

As Liz entered the jewelry industry, she saw it beginning to shift from a traditionally male-dominated space into one where women were becoming more informed, involved, and confident in what they wanted. She brought that perspective into nearly every part of the business, helping shape an environment and brand designed with women in mind - from the feel of the showroom and the voice of our social media to the way our collections are curated.

Liz also introduced our vintage jewelry collection, which remains especially close to her heart, along with our fine jewelry collection. She expanded and redesigned the Brilliance in Diamonds website and built the e-commerce side of the business, allowing us to serve clients far beyond New Orleans.

Her eye for detail, love of beautiful things, and understanding of what women actually want from the jewelry experience have become an essential part of Brilliance in Diamonds.

Their strengths are different, but they work naturally together. Kevin brings years of diamond knowledge, design guidance, and one-on-one client experience. Liz brings creativity, storytelling, and a clear vision for how modern jewelry shopping should feel.

At the heart of it all is the same belief Kevin started with in 2012: jewelry this personal deserves an experience that feels personal, too.
