When you sit down with us at Brilliance in Diamond every custom ring starts with a conversation, a love story, a vision. Creating a custom engagement ring is about intention and choice, not a price tag. Let us pull back the curtain and give you an inside look at what custom really means to us. 

What does “custom” mean at Brilliance in Diamonds? 

Custom all starts with a conversation, specifically it begins with a one-on-one consultation that can be in person or virtual. We love the opportunity we get to work with clients locally from New Orleans and also clients all the way across the ocean!! No matter where you are, the custom experience is accessible to you. 

In your one-on-one consultation we first want to listen to your story, your lifestyle, design preferences, and budget comfort. Customizing really means you are able to set the expectations and we go from there to make the ring of your dreams a reality. Rather than selecting a pre-made setting where you may love most of it, you are designing a ring where you know you will love all of it. 

And here’s the part that surprises most people:

The word “custom” itself doesn’t add cost.

Customization simply allows your ring to be designed intentionally around your vision, preferences, and budget.

I’m still kind of intimidated by the idea, what should I expect during the custom process?

Your one-on-one consultation is the first step, here you are able to ask any and all questions you have. The consultation is an opportunity to gain the knowledge you need moving forward when making decisions about your ring. Many of our custom ring clients have shared with us that this was the least stressful part of wedding planning, we want the same experience for you!

After you have said yes, your beautiful custom ring will first be rendered into a CAD image. CAD is a Computer Aided Design that allows you to see a visual of what your ring will look like. Once you give the all clear your ring begins production. Custom engagement rings will typically take 6-8 weeks in production, more than enough time to plan a proposal or celebration while it is crafted to perfection! It really is that simple, and the product is always just as you dreamed it. 

But really, how is pricing determined for a custom ring? 

We work to design within your budget and are transparent with the cost of what it is you want. We are upfront with how diamond or gemstone quality, metal type and weight, and overall design complexity play a role in the final cost. Our goal is that you are empowered with the knowledge to make confident decisions and prioritize the design choices that matter most to you.
